John has over 25 years of experience in the financial services industry. In an investment environment that has never been more exciting or challenging than it is today, John’s goal, as a Registered Assistant, is to help you articulate and define your unique objectives. Working closely with Tim McIlwain, he will help develop a long-term investment strategy towards achieving your personal goals based on thorough research and facts, rather than emotion.
John earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Finance from the University of Wisconsin – Whitewater. He holds two designations from the College of Financial Planning, Registered Paraplanner (RP) and Accredited Asset Management Specialist (AAMS), and has also completed the H&R Block Income Tax Preparation course. Prior to his current position, John served as Lincoln Financial Advisors Regional Director of Investments in Wisconsin and as a Senior Case Manager. His experience also includes working with several leading investment broker/dealers as well as nearly five years within the Trust Department of a Dane County community bank. John has traveled throughout the United States, assisting with financial planning case design and client investment presentations.
John holds the FINRA Series 7 and 63 registrations and Life and Health Licenses.
