John R. Ekman has over 30 years of experience in the financial services sector, with particular expertise in recruitment, business development, business transformation strategies and territory management. Prior to joining Lincoln, Ekman spent seven years at U.S. Bancorp Investments, most recently as senior vice president and divisional manager of the Metro Midwest division, the largest in USBI’s footprint. In addition to being a top recruiter at USBI, Ekman had additional responsibility for driving growth in sales, revenue and overall market share, as well as leading cultural and business model changes to maximize profit and productivity. Ekman graduated from the University of California, Santa Barbara and holds Series 3, 7, 8, 24, 63, and 65 registrations and Life and Health Insurance licenses.
